If your subscription payment has failed, don’t worry — you can quickly resolve this by updating your payment method or choosing an alternative payment option.
This article is about your Take App plan. If your WhatsApp number can't send messages because of Meta's billing — for example "Payment issue - Verify billing setup" — see Troubleshooting WhatsApp Billing Issues.
Why is my payment failing?
It’s usually due to an issue with your card or bank. Here are some common things to check:
- Ensure your card or bank account has sufficient funds
- Make sure your card supports recurring (subscription) payments
- Contact your bank to unblock or approve charges from Take App
- Replace your card if it has expired or been canceled
- Consider switching to a yearly plan to reduce the chances of frequent payment issues
Once everything is in order, you can retry your payment or choose an alternative payment method below.
What pauses when your subscription is overdue
As soon as your subscription becomes overdue, these features pause, even if you still have included usage left or have enabled usage add-ons:
- Automated WhatsApp messages, including workflows, broadcasts, order template messages, and verification messages for customer WhatsApp login.
- Emails sent by your store, including email workflows.
- Agent and AI image generation.
The plan usage summary shows a lock for paused usage. Paying for extra usage does not bypass an overdue subscription.
What happens if the invoice remains unpaid
Your account becomes restricted after six failed automatic payment attempts on the same subscription invoice. If your subscription is billed by an invoice you pay manually, this happens 24 days after the invoice due date instead.
At this stage, the following also stop:
- Checkout — customers are sent to a "Send us your order details" message instead, so their name, phone, and address are no longer captured with the order.
- New order creation.
- Image uploads.
Your store remains online and browsable. The overdue restrictions are lifted once payment is confirmed and the subscription is no longer overdue. Your normal plan limits still apply.
Retry payment with a card
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Update your card details if needed.
- Open the unpaid invoice and retry the payment.
Pay from your reminder
Click Pay now in your overdue email or WhatsApp reminder to open the payment page for that invoice.
You can pay by card or choose PayNow, DuitNow, QRPH, or UPI if you have a bank or wallet app that supports that method. Follow the payment page instructions and check that the invoice is marked paid.
If the page says your payment is being reviewed, contact support with your payment details before paying again.
Contact support
Go to Support > Contact support if you cannot pay, need another payment option, or your features remain paused after payment. Include the invoice and payment details so the team can check them.
Agent is paused while your subscription is overdue, but you can still use Contact support to message the team.
