Generate images with AI

Create images for your store, improve an existing product photo, or make a social post with Take App's AI tools. They are available on all plans and share your Agent allowance.

Generate an image from a description

Use Generate image with AI in an image uploader, such as the one on a product's edit page.

1. Open the page where you want to add an image and click Generate image with AI.
2. Choose the Image ratio and Image style.
3. In Describe your image, explain what you want. For example: "A bowl of nasi lemak on a banana leaf, photographed from above in natural light."
4. Click Generate image with AI to create a preview.
5. Review it. To try another version, change your description or style and click Generate again.
6. Click Save to use the image. If you are editing a product, save the product changes too.

This creates an image from your description. You do not need to fill in the title, text layout, and background colour fields from the earlier template-based banner builder.

Improve an existing product photo

1. Go to Products and open the product you want to edit.
2. Click its existing image to open the preview.
3. Choose a photo style, then click Improve.
4. Review the result. Click Generate again if you want another version.
5. Click Save to replace the photo, then save the product changes.

Review the product's appearance before saving so the image accurately represents what your customers will receive. See Product images for uploading and managing photos.

Create a social post

1. Go to Marketing and click Create a social post with AI.
2. Choose Square (1:1), Feed (4:5), or Story (9:16).
3. Click Generate new to create a post using your store's details.
4. Select a post in Your AI posts, check its text and prices, then click Download.
5. Share the downloaded image on your preferred social platform.

Generating another post uses more of your Agent allowance.

Create images in Agent chat

Open Agent with the ? button in your admin. Describe the image you want, or use the Create an image suggestion.

For example: "Create a square social post featuring my chocolate cake for this weekend." You can ask for changes in the same conversation, then click Download under the image when it is ready.

Usage limits and paused generation

AI images use the same allowance as Agent messages: 50 uses for Basic and Essential, or 200 uses for Business and legacy Premium, over the last 24 hours. The allowance is shared across the stores and staff in your organization.

Each generated image uses one unit, including an improved photo or another generated version. A message sent to Agent also uses one unit, so asking Agent to create an image can use both a message unit and an image unit.

When you reach the limit, Basic and Essential show an upgrade option; Business and legacy Premium ask you to try again tomorrow. Uses become available again as older activity leaves the 24-hour window. See Agent and AI image limits.

If your subscription is overdue, AI image generation pauses even when you have allowance left. Pay the overdue invoice or go to Support > Contact support for help.
