View table reservations in Admin and copy your public booking link. Customers book at take.app/your-store/reserve (or your custom domain).
For the older Table Booking product (retiring), see Booking. To sell appointments or stays as products, see Booking products.
Find Reservations
- Go to Admin > Dine-in > Reservations.
- Dine-in is an expandable group with QR ordering and Reservations (New).
View the book
The list defaults to all dates. Use it like Orders:
- Open More filters for a date range.
- Search by guest name, phone, or table.
- Filter by status.
- Open a row for a read-only detail page: guest, table, notes, booking source, and phone / WhatsApp / customer links.
- Dates and times use your store timezone, including overnight end times.
You cannot create or edit reservations from web Admin yet — detail is view-only. To confirm, check in or cancel a booking, use the Take App mobile app. The Manage in mobile app button on the Reservations header takes you to it.
On a tablet the app also shows a floor plan beside the day list: tap a booking to light up its table, seat a walk-in straight from a free one, and arrange the room. See Arrange tables on the floor plan.
Share the booking link
On the Reservations header, click Copy link to copy the public /reserve URL. If your store has an active custom domain, the link uses that domain. You'll see the usual Copied confirmation.
Copy link only appears when the storefront can take bookings: at least one table and opening hours that include a selectable hour or half-hour slot (for example, 10:00 or 10:30).
Get a WhatsApp for each online booking
When a customer books on your storefront, your staff get a WhatsApp with the guest's name, the date and time, the party size, a link to message the guest, and a button that opens the booking. It goes to every active team member with access to the store and a phone number on their account. Bookings you add yourself don't send it.
The alert is on by default and is sent in English. Turn it off in Settings > Workflow under Store operations > New online reservation.
Click Notifications on the Reservations header to see all three reservation messages — Reservation confirmed, Reservation reminder and New online reservation — with whether each is Active, and a link to its settings.
Set up tables and hours
Reservations need:
- Tables — add them under Admin > Dine-in > QR ordering. See Dine-in and table QR ordering.
- Opening hours — click Opening hours on the Reservations header.
When the book is empty and setup is incomplete, Admin shows guidance with Go to tables (opens QR ordering) and an Opening hours button.
Set reservation opening hours
Click Opening hours on the Reservations header. The times are in your store timezone, shown above the editor.
- Same as store hours (on by default) — requests follow the opening hours already set for your store, shown read-only in the window. Edit store hours takes you to them. If your store has no opening hours, the switch is off and you set reservation hours instead.
- Same as store hours off — tick the days you take bookings and give each one or more time ranges (Add hours), so you can close in the afternoon. Copy hours copies a day to Mon–Fri or to all days. A range that ends after midnight is marked Ends next day.
Overlapping ranges, or a range that starts and ends at the same time, can't be saved. For all day, use 00:00 – 23:59.
Customers can only request times inside these hours, and the hours have to include a time on the hour or half hour (for example, 10:00 or 10:30) before closing — otherwise there is no slot to book.
Set advance notice
Advance notice, in the same window, is how far ahead a customer has to book: No notice, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 90 minutes, 2, 3 or 4 hours, or 1 day. It starts at 2 hours. On the booking page, times and days inside the notice period can't be picked. Reservations you add yourself are not limited.
Advance notice is set in web Admin.
Party size
The Guests list on the booking page goes up to your largest table that takes online bookings (up to 50). If any of those tables has no maximum seats set, it stops at 10. The last option, such as 9+ Guests, shows Contact us for large groups so bigger parties reach you directly; it only appears when your store has a way to be contacted.
When Copy link is unavailable
If setup is incomplete, the store is disabled or archived, or hours have no bookable slots, Copy link stays hidden and an empty book shows a short hint instead. Existing reservations stay visible even if setup later becomes incomplete.
