What is an m.me link?

It is Facebook's official short link for Messenger. m.me/yourpage opens a chat with your Page in the Messenger app on a phone, or in the browser on a computer.

What is the ref tag for?

The ref value is passed to your Page when someone starts a chat from the link. Chat tools and automations connected to your Page can read it, so you can see which sign, ad or post brought each customer.

Can I pre-fill the customer's first message?

Not reliably. Unlike WhatsApp, Messenger links do not officially support a pre-filled message, so this tool does not add one.

Does it work for a personal profile?

m.me links are meant for Facebook Pages. For a personal profile, customers can still message you from your profile, but use a Page for your business.

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

À propos de cet outil

An m.me link opens a Messenger conversation with your Facebook Page in one tap — no searching for your Page, no clicking through to the Message button. Enter your Page username to get the link and a matching QR code. Put the link in your Instagram bio, ads, website or email signature, and print the QR code on your shop window, flyers or packaging. Add an optional ref tag, such as "window-sign" or "flyer", so tools connected to your Page, like chat automation, can tell where each conversation started. Everything runs in your browser. When the chats turn into orders, Take App keeps them in one list with payment status.
