After you connect Instagram, you can view and reply to comments on your Instagram posts from Take App — without opening the Instagram app.
This is separate from Instagram DMs in the inbox. Comments live under Admin → Instagram.
Requirements
- Your Instagram is a Professional Account (Business or Creator)
- Instagram is connected under Admin → Instagram
- Comment access is granted when you connect (or reconnect) Instagram
Available on any plan once Instagram is connected.
Open comment management
- Go to Admin → Instagram
- Open Manage comments (shown when Instagram is connected)
You'll see a list of comments with filters:
- All — every comment
- Needs reply — comments you have not replied to yet
Select a comment to open the thread, then type a reply and send. Your reply posts on Instagram as your business account.
Use the refresh control if a comment is missing — Take App also syncs when you return to the tab, and new comments can appear in real time.
If you can't reply
If Take App asks you to reconnect, your Instagram connection is missing comment permission.
- Go to Admin → Instagram
- Click Reconnect (or connect again) and allow comment access when Instagram asks
Until you reconnect, you can still read comments but cannot reply from Take App.
Notes
- Only comments left after comment access is granted are guaranteed to sync from Instagram's webhook. Take App also pulls recent comments when you open the page.
- Embedding posts on product pages and Instagram DMs in the inbox are unchanged. See Instagram Business Integration.
